Music Tech Fest Berlin
With everything from Mechanical Techno to bionic pop artist Viktoria Modesta, #MTFBerlin is set to be a spectacular celebration of music and innovation. Performances, premieres, a jam camp, and a hack camp will all be taking place - many of them in Funkhaus Hall 1, the biggest recording studio in the world.
Martin Molin, instrument maker and inventor of the Music Marble Machine will be there, as well as robot LEGO band Toa Mata who will be playing electronic classics.
Themes being explored include Transhumanism and Blockchain, and #MusicBricks music technology incubator projects will be showcased too, along with WIRED Creative Fellow Laura Kriefman’s Kicking The Mic dance piece.
Kicking The Mic by Guerilla Dance Project
Grace Savage - three-time British beatboxing champion,singer, songwriter, looping artist extraordinaire and one of Elle magazine’s top 100 inspiring women in the world, will be premiering ground-breaking new work using gestural interfaces to sample, loop and process her voice live.
Another first will be from composer and sonic artist Scanner, who will be presenting a prize-winning new composition he has created for Rijeka in Croatia.

Acclaimed Berlin DJ and Boiler Room star Sarah Farina has been announced for the #MTFLates club night where she will play her #rainbowbass music, and 808 State legend Graham Massey will also perform a solo set.
