Phase includes A and B frequency toggle-switches and a Rate knob in a heavy-duty polished stainless-steel housing. There is true-bypass switching and three control mechanisms provide precision control.

The Rate knob sets how often the oscillation effect waveform repeats, as well as the resulting pitch and depth of the signal. The A and B frequency toggle-switches can be set in four different ways. Combining these four settings with subtle changes to the Rate knob results in a range of lush, atmospheric ambience that swirls around as much or as little as desired.
