Originating from the late 60s and early 70s, countless people swear by Ampeg guitar amps, as they are seen to age well. The Gemini 22 was the last in the line of the ‘Gemini’ series of combos, which were aimed at providing a good tight, all tube clean sound with a lot of headroom, although it is more than capable of a bluesy overdrive. The Class A structure of the amp, means that it retains its tonal qualities at higher volumes as well as lower, and it reacts well with pedals. With two 12 inch speakers and 30 watts of power, this amp can pack a punch. The four inputs allow different signal paths (normal and bright) to the two channels - one with the onboard effects (Reverb, Tremolo/Vibrato), one without. Both channels have independent bass, treble and volume dials.
