Hohner is known for its harmonicas and accordions as well as a wide range of instruments from melodicas to pianos, banjos and headless electric basses. The company was founded in Southern Germany in 1857 and production continues at its Trossingen base. Artists such as Larry Adler, Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, and Bob Dylan have their own signature harmonica series. Reggae and dub legend Augustus Pablo, Cerys Matthews, Joy Division, New Order and Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz) have all used Hohner Melodicas.
