Founded in the late 1990s by Tim Ryan, the company was originally called MidiMan and produced MIDI software for Commodore and Apple computers. After the success of their MIDI equipment, they rebranded themselves as M-Audio, and expanded into manufacturing other items such as Digital Audio Interfaces, and MIDI controllers. Today they make a range of items such as Microphones, Preamps and Speakers and are well regarded across the whole of the music creation process.
