An active bass, the Quantum has a carbon fibre neck and a wood body for a combination of tone and strength. Using a composite neck avoids the warping or cracking that happens to wood over time and under stress. The bass produces a crystal clear, even tone and because the carbon fibre neck has a faster attack than conventional wood necks, the instrument is dynamically very sensitive as well. Available in 4, 5 and 6 string versions, fretted or fretless, this represents the player’s instrument and it was popularised by Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers amongst others.
