The younger brother of the world-famous Vox AC30, offering all the classic tones in an easier (and quieter) size. Even though its older brother is so famous, the AC15 was actually the first of the two amplifiers to be made by VOX. Coveted for its tight ‘jangly’ all-tube tone, it was literally the sound of the British Invasion in the 60’s. The AC15 is now available as a reissue with a custom blue vinyl vintage covering. Featuring two independent channels; Normal and Top-Boost you can shape your sound with a variety of tone controls for everything from a clean “chimey” sound to a powerful overdriven tone. Add to that the classic tremolo effect and spring reverb, you can get some seriously sweet guitar tones. A breakout footswitch allows you to turn the reverb and tremolo on and off. At 15 watts this amp is surprisingly loud, and good not just for studio and practice, but also smaller gigs. The amp is known for its headroom, and works well as a clean tone to build on with effects pedals. It has been popular with artists from The Rolling Stones to Radiohead, and remains a classic part of British guitar tone.
