Similar to the ULXD14, this is a wireless receiver and transmitter package. However, instead of using a bodypack transmitter which then attaches to a mic, in this case the transmitter is built into the microphone. The SM58 microphone is a rugged classic which is very popular for vocals. Shure have added a wireless transmitter capable of operating up to 100ft away from the receiver and a rechargeable battery system that can deliver a runtime of 12 hours. Other than the wireless upgrades, the microphone has the same reliable and classic specifications that have made it such an industry standard. Amazingly, the microphone cartridge can be changed to other ones made by Shure, for example the SM57, something that allows for the different tastes of performers. The wireless receiver has a 20Hz to 20 kHz frequency range with a flat response, and automatically scans for the cleanest channel available, also providing up to 60dB of additional gain.
