This is essentially two separate overdrive effects in one pedal, each with separate controls that can be used independently or blended together. On the one hand, the Jekyll recreates the sound of a tube screamer with its depth and smooth sustain. With a bass boost switch and a high output, this side has a distinct bite. However, the Hyde half of the pedal is a different animal altogether: a much heavier distortion with separate Mid range control, and a heavier bass kick. You can use them individually, or blend them for a rich variety of tones. This pedal was used by The Strokes particularly during the ‘Room on Fire’ album.
