Founded in 1968 by Clifford Cooper of London, Orange was originally a recording studio. It soon became an amplifier manufacturer, and their brilliant orange-coloured coverings and retro sci-fi control knobs marked them out amongst designs of the time. Fast forward forty years, and Orange are now one of the most recognizable British amplifier brands. They also manufacture amplifiers for bass guitar, speaker cabinets and combination (combo) amplifiers.
